PC requests for Battlefield 2042 have been announced
Battlefield 2042 will soon have its first tests between August 12 and 15. It will not be open to the public and will only be accessible to a few thousand lucky players who sign up. But you won’t miss too much if you don’t get a chance to do so - real testing follows in the ninth month anyway - i.e. an open beta.
In any case, for this testing, we got the first insight into the hardware requirements of the PC version of Battlefield 2042. As the PC version of the game will be in the range of versions for current consoles (PS5, XSX / S) so the requirements will be slightly higher than previous Battlefield games, but not too much.
Here's how things stand for now:
Minimum requirements:
- Processor: Intel Core i5 6600K or AMD FX-8350
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 560
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- System: Windows 10 64-bit
- Internet: 512 kbps or faster
Recommended requirements:
- Processor: Intel Core i7 4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- System: Windows 10 64-bit
- Internet: 512 kbps or faster
Note that these are the requirements for the technical test of Battlefield 2042, not for its final version. Ultimately, these requirements may be either lower or higher, but these are the limits of what we can roughly expect.
