The original 2014 Titanfall will no longer be available for purchase after March 1, 2022. It has been announced that the game will be withdrawn from sale on PC and Xbox, and will disappear with EA Play subscriptions on the same date.
Fortunately, everyone who buys the game by then will still be able to play it. The servers for this multiplayer-only game remain alive until further notice.
Respawn Entertainment did not explain why it will stop selling its first game. They only said that Titanfall is part of their genetic code and that this series of stars is their guide for future experiences they are working on.
Titanfall was one of the most prominent Xbox One consoles in 2014. But, just like the console itself, it did not achieve much success after its release. Two years later, a sequel followed that brought a single-player campaign and fulfilled the potential of its multiplayer, but it was always overshadowed by more popular games.
