Techland calms passions, the story of Dying Light 2 lasts 20 hours

If you’ve been following the news over the past weekend, you could see that it has been announced on Dying Light’s official Twitter profile that players will spend 500 hours crossing Dying Light 2 Stay Human. Through the same post, Techland wanted to illustrate how time-consuming the process was, so he drew a comparison with walking from Warsaw to Madrid (534 hours). Through several subsequent tweets, they tried to calm the passions by claiming that the main and most fun part of the game would last 80 hours.

Now the Polish development studio has decided to further clarify the confusion by stating that the main story will last 20 hours. That's about the same in the first part of 2015. What we knew was that it would take 80 hours to solve all the major and minor tasks. But then where are the other 420 hours? To clarify this, the remaining hours include discovering every corner of the map, collecting all collectibles, choosing different dialogue options and discovering the consequences of the same, and going through several different endings of the story.

According to Techland, Dying Light 2 is made for all types of players. Not all of them are equal, and that is why this upcoming title is made to suit every style of play. One will only want to go through the story, the other will rise to a higher level, while the third will achieve satisfaction only when they find everything. The Poles want everyone who enters the world of Dying Light 2 to enjoy the game in their way by allowing players to play it the way they want.

Dying Light 2 will be released early next month for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and X / S Series. On Thursday, we will have a new, and also the last episode of the Dying 2 Know show in which we will see some new elements of the game, including gameplay on consoles.
