Baldur’s Gate 3 has received a new update, it will not be completed before 2023.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in early access for over a year. The plan was to launch the game in full release during 2022, but the developers decided that the game would remain in development until 2023 to ensure the quality of the same.

Creative game director Swen Vincke reveals that they are in the final stages of development, but it will take them at least another year to make sure the game has no technical difficulties. To make waiting for the release as easy as possible, the game will get several major updates through 2022, and the first one arrived yesterday.

The seventh update brought a new class, improvised weapons, and several other changes and improvements. A new class called Barbarian has two subclasses one to choose from when the character becomes level 3; Wildheart and Berserker.

Wildheart uses animal souls as a source of his power and thus adapts to the situation. The bear provides tremendous endurance and restores life. The eagle allows better maneuvering on the battlefield and eliminates the damage when falling from a height. Los increases speed and gives an attack that stuns opponents. Tiger improves the offensive with an attack that bleeds the enemies. And finally, we have a wolf that strengthens the comrades who are next to you.

On the other hand, we have Barbarian which is similar to the classic idea of barbarian. During the battle, the damage he can do is slowly increasing, and with a normal attack, he can throw improvised weapons as an additional attack. Throwing weapons is also a novelty presented in the seventh update that allows you to throw everything you can get your hands on, from weapons, furniture to other NPCs.

Along with the new class and the new type of attack came several other news and changes that you can read about on Steam.
