MSI GTX 1660 Ti Gaming X 6G - Features

The heart of the MSI GTX 1660 Ti GAMING X 6G card is the GPU processor located on a specially designed printed circuit board where the paths of the electronic wires are precisely designed to ensure integrity and better signal quality that travels data to vital components of the graphics card.

Nvidia Turing graphics processor in a stronger version of the TU-116 model has 1536 CUDA cores, which are factory tuned to 105 MHz higher frequency than Nvidia defined 1770 MHz for this class of graphics cards. That this is a respectable class of gaming accelerators is confirmed by the presence of a faster standard of video memory - GDDR6, which delivers 50% higher data transfer than GDDR5 specifications.

The MSI GTX 1660 Ti GAMING X 6G is powered via a PCIe x16 slot from where it gets the projected 75W of power, while the rest draws from the present 8-pin PCI Express connector, which is enough for an average projected consumption of 130W when running graphics-intensive games.

It displays the image using the three present Display Port 1.4 and one HDMI 2.0b connector. Operation with four monitors at the same time is supported. The creation and control of operating parameters are done from the already legendary MSI Afterburner OC software tool.

The graphics card is medium in size with 25 cm in length, 13 cm in height and "thick" is 4.5 cm, occupying two PCI slots in the case. It weighs 870 grams.

AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8G - Features

The AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8G is based on the Turing TU104 super heavy-duty graphics processor. It has 48 streaming clusters for multiprocessing with a total of 3072 CUDA executive units. At the same time, this is the first difference between the "ordinary" and RTX 2080 SUPER models, which have two clusters, or 128 more CUDA units, which entails the fact of the presence of a larger amount of first-degree cache memory.

The second difference is reflected in the slightly higher set operating frequency, but this is a relative thing in the case of this category with really advanced cooling systems that allow achieving operating speeds significantly above the factory declared values.

The presence of 8 GB of GDDR6 local video memory allows you to be limited to Full HD resolution with demanding graphics settings, but you can make trips in 1440p and even 4K resolution if you wish. Here we pause for a moment and draw attention to the third detail of the RTX 2080 upgrade in the SUPER version and it concerns the faster setup of 15.5 Gbps video memory which delivers 496 GB / s of 14 Gbps data and a maximum of 448 GB / s in the regular RTX 2080 version.

The AORUS RTX 2080 Super uses a specially designed Windforce Stack 3 cooling system with additional heatsinks on the VRM unit and memory chips with the addition of a “cold” board on the back of the card. This out-of-the-box cooler, along with a more powerful 14-phase power section, allows the card to work above Nvidia's reference specifications by delivering an extra level of acceleration during gaming. So it should come as no surprise that in real-world situations, the graphics processor runs at almost the maximum limit of 2 GHz, delivering unrivaled gaming performance.

Considering that the AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 is a SUPER purebred gaming card, Gigabyte has implemented RGB Fusion 2 lighting effects, but in a completely different form compared to previous Aorus models, giving it an almost unrealistically beautiful look in operation. The special position and mode of operation of the LEDs on the tips of the fan propellers, create attractive effects that will satisfy even the most discerning.

That this is an extraordinary graphics card is confirmed by the detail with the section of available connections for connecting the monitor. In addition to the most commonly used configuration with 3 Display Ports, one HDMI, and one USB-C connector, the Aorus GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER adds two more HDMI ports, giving you an easy and flexible connectivity option to work on multiple monitors simultaneously. You can connect and work with 4 monitors at the same time.

The GeForce in the RTX 2080 SUPER version consumes an average of 250W or 35W more than the regular RTX 2080 model. It is powered by two additional 8-pin PCIe connectors. The manufacturer recommends a quality power supply with a minimum output power of 650W. The card measures 29 cm in length, ie the depth of the case is almost 13.5 cm high and 6 cm thick, so it occupies the position of three PCI slots in the case.
