A year ago, Ubisoft announced that they were working on The Division game for mobile platforms, but now the official announcement has arrived.
The new game is called Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence, and it will be a free-to-play game for iOS and Android.
Resurgence is set in New York just like the first game in the series but brings a completely new story. If you played The Division 1 and 2 for the story, you'll be pleased to hear that Resurgence will offer a completely "unique perspective on key story elements."
The gameplay and progression system in this mobile edition should be similar to its big brothers from PC and consoles. We will thus explore the "massive urban open-world", solve missions, destroy the plans of enemy factions and save civilians.
We'll be doing it solo or in co-op, and we're promised a AAA experience. The first trailer released with this announcement gives the impression of a AAA production, especially when you consider that it's all in-engine.
