MSI introduces the RTX 3090 Aero graphics card with a 'blower' design

MSI RTX 3090 Aero Blower

MSI is preparing to release an RTX 3090 graphics card, which is cooled using a cooler of the so-called "blower" type, and the GPU is called RTX 3090 Aero. Similar to the design of the reference Nvidia GeForce GTX 480 graphics card, the RTX 3090 Aero cools the GPU by expelling warm air through a large conductor of heat, and then that air is expelled from the I / O panel.

With a two-slot design in mind, it is easier to pair two RTX 3090 Aero graphics cards via NVLink. Despite using a reference clock of 1695MHz for the core and 19.5Gbps for the memory, the GPU does not seem to have a reference board. On the back is a backplate that covers half of the PCB, making the GPU stronger. In addition, the video card has several thermal sockets, which provide additional heat dissipation from the GPU components.

The RTX 3090 Aero uses two 8-pin connectors, located on the right side of the map. The GPU has a 350W TDP, and it is recommended to use a 750W power supply for a system equipped with one of these video cards. 3x DisplayPort 14.am and one HDMI 2.1 port are available.

MSI has not announced the price and availability of the RTX 3090 Aero graphics card.
