The iPad Pro with a mini LED panel is expected in early 2021

iPad Pro with a mini LED panel

Earlier, rumors surfaced that Apple could use mini LEDs in its products, such as the iPad line. Now, the latest information suggests that this device will be released during the first quarter of 2021.

DigiTimes reports that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, with a mini, LED display, could be released during the first quarter of next year. This is interesting because the last time Apple updated the iPad Pro was during the first months of 2020 when the company implemented a LiDAR sensor and unlocked additional chipset cores.

This means that if Apple sticks to the annual updates of its products, the announcement of the next edition of the iPad Pro tablet during the first quarter of 2021 makes sense. It remains to be seen whether we will see the application of the mini LED display panel on the next iPad Pro model.

So far, Apple iPads have relied on LCD screens. The mini LEDs are expected to be the golden mean between LCD and OLED solutions and can offer the benefits of OLED screens and be cheaper to manufacture.
