Splatoon 3, Mario Golf, Legend of Mana - Announcements from the recent Nintendo Direct

Nintendo Direct Gaming

After a full 18 months, specifically from E3 2019, Nintendo held a full Nintendo Direct presentation that lasted as long as 50 minutes. In those hours, the Japanese company made a huge number of announcements of new games, and new details were brought for the games announced for Switch.

There were also big announcements, remasters, as well as stories about upcoming Switch ports. So let's go.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Yes, this game is still very current, and Nintendo knows that, which is why it announced the addition of new heroes on Direct. The roster is joined by characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Pyra and Mythra.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

Fans of the Zelda games will be looking forward to July 16, because then the remaster of the Skyward Sword HD game will be released to mark the 35th anniversary of the franchise. This will probably be just one in a series of benefits since three and a half decades is not a small amount.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

After the initial announcement we didn’t get any new details for Breath of the Wild 2 and that’s been the case for a long time. Nintendo mentioned the game at a recent presentation, which is a sign that it is being actively worked on, and said that new details will arrive this year. Nothing was said about the release date.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

There is no overly large addition to these adventures, but players can expect Mario items that small characters, or surroundings, can decorate

Splatoon 3

The third part of the Splatoon adventure is in preparation and will be released in 2022. The teaser shown was quite unexpected, but we don’t mind. In the teaser, it is possible to see some novelties and ambitious additions that will be present in Splatoon 3.

Mario Golf: Super Rush

Mario has a lot of time at his disposal and will soon start playing golf as well. The Super Rush game has been announced for Switch and comes out on June 25 with a multiplayer option and story mode. The game will remind older players of the Wii Golf, as it similarly has motion controls.

Miitopia

Miitopia on the Switch arrives on May 21st. It is a 3DS RPG game with elements of life simulation in which you have characters divided into classes like warriors and magicians. Playful characters are created with Mii avatars and then acquire certain traits that are crucial during fights, but also in relationships outside of them. The Switch version is further enriched with a new companion and customization options.

Famicom Detective Club

On May 14, remakes of Detective Club titles - The Missing Heir and The Girl Who Stands Behind - will arrive at Switch. Both titles will come in a package with numerous refreshes that will modernize the graphics and gameplay for the current Nintendo console.

Fall Guys and other ports

The Fall Guys Switch version has been waiting for quite a long time, but here are its announcements now. The bean characters bring their charm to battle royale battles with a host of customization options this summer.

Outer Wilds will also get its Nintendo Switch version in 2021.

Annapurna's new studio game that will see the light of day on the Switch (as well as on the PC) is Neon White. It is a first-person shooter to exterminate demons in a paradise tailored as if it came from an anime series.

The latest Plants vs Zombies game, Battle for Neighborville, will see the light of day on Switch in March. The game performed quite well on other platforms, and on this one, it will also be the first to use the benefits of EA's Frostbite engine.

Star Wars: Hunters

Zynga is working on a new Star Wars game that will only come out for Switch consoles. It's Star Wars: Hunters, a new free2play multiplayer achievement. Thematically, the game is set between the events of Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. The exact release date is not currently available but will be released during the year here.

Knockout City

Another team multiplayer game is on the horizon for Switch users. In this case, it is the realization of a study brought by Mario Kart: Home Circuit. The game is a dodgeball battle in which you clash with other players and you will have to be constantly on the move to survive in the arena. Knockout City comes out on May 21st
