Xiaomi held a global presentation of its latest premium phone yesterday - the Mi 11. During the December release of the phone for the Chinese market, the MIUI 12.5 user interface was also introduced, which is now also arriving globally.

The first series of devices will receive the MIUI 12.5 update in the second quarter of 2021 and will include the models: Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Mi 11. The second wave of updates will add 11 more Xiaomi devices, and from June it should get it: Mi 10 Lite 5G, Mi 10T-Lite, Mi Note 10 Pro, Mi Note 10, Mi Note 10 Lite, Redmi Note 9T, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi 9.

An updated delivery schedule for other devices will be announced later on the MIUI.com website, and even more Xiaomi and Redmi phones are expected to receive the MIUI 12.5 upgrade by the end of the year.

MIUI 12.5 comes with a completely redesigned user interface, which now reduces CPU usage by up to 22 percent, while power consumption is reduced by up to 15%,

Another important feature of MIUI 12.5 software is the ability to uninstall applications within the system. The vast majority of applications in the new system can be uninstalled, while a small number of applications built into the system kernel can be hidden.
