New Need for Speed due to Battlefield 6 "pushed" into 2022

Although we expected to play the new Need for Speed this fall, it will not happen.

The next game in this popular racing series has been postponed to next year, and the reason for the delay lies in the fact that EA has decided to temporarily "relocate" the Criterion Games studio to help the DICE development team develop Battlefield 6, which is still planned for this fall.

This information was confirmed for Polygon directly from Electronic Arts, emphasizing that this decision was made in agreement with Criterion, since this studio has already collaborated with DICE in the development of games such as Star Wars Battlefront II and Battlefield V.

And while the new Need for Speed has been postponed to next year, the development of Battlefield 6 is progressing very well, and its big unveiling awaits us over the spring.
