Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection is under development

Half-Life 2 and its accompanying two episodes will get their remasters. With the proviso that the Half-Life 2 Remastered Collection will not be the product of a team from Valve but the work of loyal fans of the Valve series. Maybe that has cooled you down a bit from the whole thing now, but the news is interesting anyway.

Namely, Valve has officially given his blessing for this project. And this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of him. A year ago it was rumored that only Half-Life 2 would get the remaster treatment, and now the whole embellishment of the game has been extended to Episodes 1 and 2.

It is not yet known to what level the Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection will be embellished. It is to be assumed that the game may be switched to a new engine, which is a huge deal for anyone other than Valve.

However, the team working on this project has already proven itself. Philip Victor's team worked on Half-Life 2: Update, a free expansion that already brightened up Half-Life 2 in 2015. The project was also officially approved by Valve and distributed via Steam, where it was very well received by PC players.
