Games for Nintendo 64 and Sega Mega Drive arrive on the Nintendo Online subscription

From October, Nintendo Online's subscription service will have two levels. The basic one will work as before and will bring access to online multiplayer for Switch games and access to the catalog of selected games for NES and SNES consoles. The more expensive service option, called the Expansion Pack, will also bring access to a catalog of selected games from the Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive consoles.

It has not yet been revealed how much the Nintendo Online Expansion Pack will cost. One of the benefits of this offer will be that Nintendo 64 multiplayer games will be able to be played locally as well as online. It will be the first time that N64 games can be played in online multiplayer, at least in terms of official and legal gameplay.

The Nintendo Online Expansion Pack will be launched in late October 2021. This subscription will be optional and there will be an option to upgrade to it for existing Nintendo Online subscribers.

Upon release, subscribers will be offered 9 games with Nintendo 64 consoles and 14 games for Sega Mega Drive. Over time, Nintendo will add more N64 games to the catalog. Here are the titles that will be available after the launch of the subscription service:
