Outcast 2: A New Beginning was announced 22 years after the first part

Outcast is a game that not many players remember - it was released 22 years ago. But THQ Nordic bought the rights to it and gave the green light to develop the sequel. Outcast 2: A New Beginning for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X / S was announced last night.

The game will take us to a spectacular world called Adelphia, 20 years after the first game. The main role is played by Cutter Slade, who this time will fight against corporations that exploit the planet and make slaves out of the local population. Just like the first part, Outcast 2 will be a fast-paced action adventure with a third-person camera, non-linear format, i.e. open world.

We will explore Adelphia with the help of a jetpack, we will move around hidden temples and clean the villages of the Talan tribe, probably in the Far Cry style of liberating bases. The team that created the original Outcast is working on the game, only now they hope that with a bigger budget and more experience they will be able to deliver a game that better copes with their ambitions.
