As a surprise for the 20th birthday of the Xbox and Halo series, Microsoft launched the multiplayer component of the long-awaited Halo Infinite game - almost a month before the game itself. Hand on heart, the multiplayer component and single-player campaign of Halo Infinite are conceived as separate things because the campaign is paid, while the multiplayer is a free-to-play format and available to all interested completely free of charge.
Halo Infinite multiplayer has just been launched on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series platforms, in open beta. It is also the beginning of the first season called Heroes of Reach, which will last until the fifth month of 2022. The first event of the season, called Fracture: Tenrai, will begin on the 23rd of this month.
All those who try the game will receive a free collection of cosmetic items on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Halo series. All the progress made in the beta, and all the items won, will be able to be maintained after December 8, when the multiplayer comes out of the beta and the game itself is officially launched with a single-player campaign.
