Usain Bolt says Mario Kart helped him be the fastest man on the planet
Usain Bolt, an eight-time Olympic gold medalist and world record holder for the fastest sprint in the 100 and 200 meters, revealed to the BBC that he sometimes missed training sessions because he played video games. But Bolt doesn’t regret it but says playing games has helped him maintain a winning mentality.
"Learning and competing to be the best are the things that excite me about video games. I would say that playing may have helped my hunger that I always want to win… When you go out on the field, you have the same mentality as when you play video games - you just want to win. ” - said Bolt in the podcast Press X to Continue.
One of the games Bolt loved to play was Mario Kart. Today, however, he loves to play Fifa, which he did by demonstrating new holographic projection technology in 4K resolution, which he promoted for Portl and Virgin Media.
