Mythforce - An Rpg That Looks Like a Cartoon From the Eighties

Studio Beamdog entered the gaming industry working on Enhanced Editions of the Baldur’s Gate series, and now they’ve unveiled their first original game - MythForce. It is a fantasy first-person RPG title with incredibly beautiful graphics reminiscent of old cartoon series from the eighties. The game will be available through the early access phase exclusively through the Epic Games Launcher from April 20, 2022.

Numerous fans of the Dungeons and Dragons and He-Man series will notice how MythForce looks like a 3D display of the cult animated templates of the same name. In addition to the visuals, the D&D experience enriches the gameplay system in which players will have to wade through endless dungeons full of treasure and, you guessed it, dragons. In addition to dragons and skeletons, players will tame a variety of enemies, whether on their own or in co-op mode.

Your small group will consist of four members with different abilities. So far, four classes have been confirmed, so we will choose between Knight Victoria, Thief Rico, Wizard Maggie, and Hunter Hawkins. That gang in a world called Eldryth will fight the tyranny of the vampire ruler Deadalus.

It should be noted that MythForce will be the roguelite type of game, which means that your death in the game will not be a small thing. Namely, every time you die, you return to the beginning of the dungeon, and it should change every time after your death. Fortunately, the game has a meta progression system, so players will become stronger over time by repeating the same missions. According to the information we’ve gathered so far, MythForce by no means acts like an easy title but will require you to be precise, tactful, and cohesive with the rest of your team.

As part of the early access, players will initially be able to play only the first episode called Bastion of the Beastlord. But Beamdog has already announced the imminent arrival of new content. MythForce should stay in early access for about a year, and developers will gradually add to the game not only new mechanics, loot, and enemies but also classes, side missions, and entire episodes.
