The 1993 Doom Now Supports Raytracing Effects

Here’s one somewhat amazing piece of news that is an April Fool’s joke at first glance, but no matter what the day of the announcement it is real. Modder nicknamed sultim-t launched raytracing support for the original 1993 Doom. The cult game thus gets additional lighting and shadows and has a different atmosphere than the original.

You can download the modification for free on Github, but you will need the original DOOM.wad file. For now, the model is only available to Nvidia graphics card owners, and as usual, the GTX 20xx or 30xx series is recommended for gaming.
