How about the idea of playing with a mouse + controller combination?
We all know that the mouse and the keyboard are an inseparable pair whose love is stronger than all possible intrigues and infidelities. But for several years now, there has been a small trend of players experimenting with a different combination of mouse and gamepad, or controller. The idea is to combine the precision of the mouse with the intuitiveness of the analog stick controller.
This is not easy to achieve because most (PC) games are designed to recognize either the mouse or the gamepad as the main control device - not both at the same time. However, the upcoming SF shooter Halo Infinite is reportedly one of the first to recognize playing with a combination of mouse and gamepad. It was demonstrated by one player on Twitter, and here’s what his management of the game with that combination looked like.

Now, of course, there are a bunch of questions:
- How to set controls to keep everything at your fingertips?
- Do cramps occur in the hand after the intense play in this combination?
- Is moving with the gamepad stick slower / inferior to moving with the keys on the keyboard?
We could get answers if, with the release of Halo Infinite, this way of playing is further popularized. But if you practice this yourself - be sure to let us know your experiences in the comments.
