You’ve probably already forgotten about the game development name Project Awakening. Honestly - we are the same, considering that there has been no trace or voice from her for the last three years. So let’s remind ourselves: in 2018, Japanese studio Cygames announced an open-world fantasy RPG, with dragons. They announced the game as an exclusive for the PlayStation 4 and used their engine called Cyllista for development.
As we have already said, the announcement of Project Awakening was followed by a three-year lull. Some, therefore, thought that the project was canceled, but recently the Cygames studio had a presentation of its engine, so they showed several new shots of the game itself. The demonstration was shown on the tools for making an open world: modifying the terrain and setting up the vegetation.
All in all, it looks nice, but the question remains: where is it stuck? Given the fact that the PlayStation 4 is now in the twilight of its life cycle, chances are high that this project will switch to the PlayStation 5.
