There have been no new games from the once-popular Digimon series for five years, but that will change this summer. Bandai Namco has announced that Digimon Survive is coming to us on July 29th. We will play it on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
We haven't gotten new gameplay with this announcement, but we already know that it will use a hybrid approach to gameplay. Digimon Survive will be an unusual hybrid of visual novels and strategy games with a fight on the move in a two-dimensional performance. They will introduce us to a new cast of characters, teenagers who get lost on a school trip and end up in a foreign world with Digimon. The main character will be Takuma Momozuka who will be accompanied by the legendary Agumon.
