OnePlus recently confirmed that the cameras on the company’s OnePlus 9 series, which will be unveiled on March 23, will use a Sony IMX789 sensor. Now the company has revealed that the phones will also have a Sony IMX766 ultra-wide camera.
The ultra-wide camera will have a 50MP resolution, and OnePlus points out that it will use a freeform lens that reduces distortion from 20% to about one percent. Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, also published two photos - one controlled by a standard camera and showing distortion, as well as the other created with an IMX766 sensor with minimal distortion.
The OnePlus 9 series will reportedly consist of three phones - the standard OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9E.
