Total War: Roma gets a remaster edition, arriving in April

The first remaster released in the Total War franchise ever, Total War: Rome Remastered, was announced this week by Creative Assembly studio and publisher SEGA.

Scheduled for April 29, Total War: Rome Remastered will bring with it a handful of visual enhancements, 4K resolution and 4K textures, redesigned environments, battlefields, and character models. The quality of the gameplay will also be improved compared to the original from 2004, and there are also novelties.

As for the newspaper, there are as many as 16 new faces in front of the players, plus 22 that was previously available. There is also a new tactical map during battles, with icons that better depict events. The diplomacy system has been further improved and the camera will be much better oriented. Let's not forget the PvP multiplayer option, which will be enriched with the option for cross-platform gaming between PC, macOS, and Linux platforms.

Players who already own the original will have the opportunity to buy Total War: Rome Remastered at a 50% lower price from April 29 to June 1.
