The golden age of snowboarding-themed video games is long gone, but the upcoming Shredders could give us back at least a fraction of that time. This Xbox Series X / S exclusive (PC version should be available later) arrives in the twelfth month of 2021 if there are no delays and it will already be included in the GamePass program as standard.
For now, there are not many known details about the game. It is only clear that the game is of an open type, with freedom of movement on the mountain, and that it will be driven independently or in the company. Project manager Dirk Van Welden says we will be able to define our driving style and that we should have exceptional control over performing the tricks. Rewarding is also mentioned if the mountain is explored, which makes sense given that it is an open world.
Given that the game is inspired by the Amped series that was popular for the first Xbox console, fans of Microsoft platforms have reason to be optimistic if they like to perform tricks on the snow. It was also announced that professional athletes who will be in the game will be announced soon, so there is an additional joy for the team that follows the snowboarding scene.
