The movie hit Top Gun: Maverick has been postponed to 2022 and with it the Top Gun expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Still, next month’s virtual pilots will have reason to rejoice as they get Microsoft Flight Simulator: Game of the Year Edition.
The GOTY edition of this aviation simulation will be free to all MFS owners on PC and Xbox Series consoles. It will appear on November 18 and will bring new missions, tutorials, planes, and airports. We can expect five new aircraft, namely: Boeing F / A-18 Super Hornet, Volocity, Pilatus PC-6 Porter, CubCrafters NX Cub, and Aviat Pitts Special S1S.
Eight detailed airports from Germany, Switzerland, and the USA will be added to the game. These are Leipzig / Halle Airport (EDDP), Allgäu Airport Memmingen (EDJA), Kassel Airport (EDVK), Lugano Airport (LSZA), Zurich Airport (LSZH), Lucerne-Beromunster Airport (LSZO), Patrick Space Force Base (KCOF) and Marine Corps Air Station Miramar (KNKX). Some cities will also get new details, and among them are Helsinki, Newcastle, Nottingham, Freiburg, and others.
