A somewhat bizarre situation was recorded on Steam last week. Namely, of the ten best-selling games on Steam, half of them were Dying Light 2. Don't you understand? Here's how: Steam records each version of the game separately, and this also applies to preorders. Dying Light 2 was thus the best-selling in both standard and deluxe and ultimate editions, both when it went on sale and before it was launched.
Nothing similar has happened on Steam so far. Here's what the list of the 10 best-selling items on Steam from January 31 to February 7 looked like:
- Dying Light 2
- Dying Light 2 (pre-order)
- Dying Light 2 Ultimate
- Lost Ark
- Dying Light 2 (Deluxe pre-order)
- Elden Ring
- Dying Light 2 (Ultimate pre-order)
- It Takes Two
- Dying Light 2 Deluxe
- Total War: Warhammer 3
Confirmation of the great success of Dying Light 2 can also be seen in the number of active players on Steam. According to that item, the game entered among the 25 most active games in the history of Steam. With a total of 274,983 active players, Dying Light 2 currently holds 23rd place with the most active players and is well on its way to breaking Skyrim and Destiny 2 records.
