Capcom has announced Street Fighter 6

Capcom’s countdown is over, and seven years after the last Street Fighter we got the announcement of the next part in the cult martial arts series. Street Fighter 6 is in development - the only thing revealed with the message that we will get more information about the game in the summer of 2022.

A short teaser video confirmed two fighters - the well-known Ryu who has now let go of his beard, and Luke - the new fighter who came to Street Fighter 5 only late last year. Here Luke has a new hairstyle but he also wears Guile's dogtag which could point to some vengeful story.

It is difficult to determine which engine is used here. On the other hand, it is quite clear that Capcom wants to change the image of Street Fighter in part. A different type of music is used during the announcement, and it is worth noting that this is the first game in the series that does not use the Roman numeral (VI) in the title but the well-known number 6. There is a new logo with a specific font used for the last 35 years. Too bad - but so obviously decided.
