Between the recent news about the new Witcher game, all the way to the series and the many spinoffs currently in production, it seems that the world created by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski is getting bigger and bigger every day.
Namely, a short synopsis was published on the official Twitter profile of the series The Witcher, which reveals the plot of the upcoming third season. Judging by him, it seems to us that the third part of the saga about the most famous witch decided to follow the story from the literary template in more detail.
Along with the synopsis, the official Twitter account shared a picture of Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri on a break in the middle of filming. The summary of the third season is transmitted in its entirety:
"As monarchs, mages, and beasts from the continent compete to capture her, Geralt, along with Ciri, a lion from Cintra, goes into exile, determined to protect his newly assembled family from those who want to destroy it. Cira's magical training is given to Yennefer, who takes her to the protected fortress of Aretusa, a mystical place where she hopes to discover more about the girl's untapped powers. Instead of security and serenity, they discover that they have found themselves on the battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and betrayal. The trio must fight and risk everything - or risk losing each other forever. "
Unfortunately, it is not yet known when the series will arrive on small
screens. Judging by the release schedule that was valid for last season, the
third part of this epic story should come out only in 2023.
