MediaTek Dimensity 1200

Taiwanese chipmaker MediaTek has introduced two new chipsets for mobile phones: Dimensity 1200 and Dimensity 1100.

The Dimensity 1200 is the company's first 6nm chipset and arrives as the successor to the Dimensity 1000+ model. The chip enables speeds up to 3GHz and has dual 5G SIM support. The company has applied a 1 + 3 + 4 configuration for the SoC, which means it uses 1 x ARM Cortex-A78 CPU speeds up to 3GHz, 3 x ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores up to 2.6GHz and ARM Cortex-A55 CPU speeds up to 2GHz.

On the other hand, the Dimensity 1100 does not have the main core and consists of 4 x ARM Cortex-A78 CPUs up to 2.6GHz and 4 x Cortex-A55 CPUs up to 2GHz. Both chipsets have a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.
