According to a recent Bloomberg report, Apple is working on an upgraded version of the MacBook Air laptop, which will have a refreshed design and new hardware. The laptop should arrive at the end of the year, and the author of the report reveals some details about the design of the device.

The next-generation MacBook Air will have a thinner and lighter body, while the bezels around the screen will be smaller. The laptop will re-implement the MagSafe charging system. Besides, a more prominent design is expected, which will distinguish the MacBook Air from the MacBook Pro model.

In addition to the improved aesthetics that the upcoming MacBook Air will have, the laptop is also expected to use an upgraded Apple M1 chipset.

Bloomberg believes the new MacBook Air will be positioned more as a premium alternative to the current MacBook Air, rather than as its direct successor.
