The new Call of Duty arrives in the fall
We welcomed this news, which is not new - the next game in the Call of Duty series has been confirmed for autumn 2021. When publishing the financial report for the last quarter, Activision said that the new CoD is being prepared by the Sledgehammer Games team and that it will be a premium Call of Duty. ”(Meaning with a single-player campaign, co-op mode, and multiplayer) that will integrate with Warzone similar to last year’s Cold War.
The Sledgehammer Games team has so far worked independently on two games: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and WWII from 2017. According to current rumors, it seems that Call of Duty will return to the theme of World War II. Vanguard is mentioned as the code name of the game, but it is not yet certain whether that name will be retained. It’s just clear that this year’s CoD won’t be a sequel to Black Ops or Modern Warfare the Treyarch and Infinity Ward teams are working on.
Activision also revealed on this occasion that Call of Duty games is played by 150 million players a month. Of these, the largest number of players play CoD Mobile and Warzone, but the "premium" games are profitable enough that we will get the 18th Call of Duty in a row this year.
