Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice got next-gen graphics on Xbox consoles and PC
Yesterday marked four years since the release of the action-adventure Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. It is a continuation of the development - we already know that, but we did not know that the next-gen refresh of the original game was in preparation.
Ninja Theory has just launched a beautified version of Hellblade with more detailed graphics, higher resolution, and support for ray-tracing. The great news is that all of this is available as part of a free update. The less great news is that no improvements have been announced for PS5 platform - but only for Xbox Series X and S and PC. At least for now.
As Hellblade is also available on the Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series console owners can experience this enhanced version at no extra charge. Three performance modes are available: performance, resolution, and enriched, and here’s how the two consoles handle them. In short - raytracing is "30 fps exclusive".
