Far Cry Had the Most Successful Year in the History of the Series

Far Cry 6 was at the top of the list of best-selling games in 2021, so it’s no secret that the game was financially successful. Ubisoft did not share the specific number of copies sold in its financial report for the past fiscal year but said the period from April 1, 2021, to April 1, 2022, was the most successful in nearly 20 years of Far Cry's existence.

Sales of all Far Cry games, including older ones, contributed to this, but there is no doubt that the highest percentage of earnings came from Far Cry 6 and its accessories. Ubisoft seems to have been ignited by the strategy of using renowned actor Giancarlo Esposito on the cover of the game and in its promotion.

Other Ubisoft series has also been very successful. Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six also earned over $ 300 million. This is a particularly notable result for the Assassin’s Creed series, which didn’t get a new game in 2021, but still earned twice as much as in 2020.
