But Man’s Sky Got Space Whales in a New Story Campaign

But Man’s Sky has just been expanded with another free expansion. Specifically, a seventh expedition called Leviathan has been added to the game, bringing a new style of gameplay. That is, it is new to No Man’s Sky, and it is an adventure that takes place in a repetitive circle, i.e. a time loop. Every time a player dies, the time cycle is reset and everything starts over.

The goal is to pick up fragments of memory in each loop, and that task is also collaborative so that fragments are collected by other players as well. The more fragments are collected and submitted for research, the better rewards are received, including expanded inventory, more powerful ships, and Multi-Tool tools.

The expedition itself has a kind of story, and players who manage to break the loop are likely to face an ancient space creature - the title Leviathan. With the expedition adding flying whales, it is to be expected that Leviathan is likely to be the dad of all flying whales.
