Some Street Fighter fans are angry about the music in Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter 6 will bring a fresh perspective to the 35-year-old fighting series. A lot of change is expected, both in and out of the fight, and that includes brand new music. Every Street Fighter game has had different music so far, but Street Fighter 4 and 5 have mostly used remixes of cult tunes dating back to Street Fighter 2. But that doesn’t seem to be the case with Street Fighter 6.

Capcom, yesterday released a music theme for Ryu otherwise, the first playful character in the history of Street Fighter, and some fans reacted negatively to it. Namely, unlike previous songs for Ryu, this one sounds relaxed and funky, which for some does not suit the personality of the character we have been following for 35 years. The previous theme for Ryu sounded combative and heroic, which you can see for yourself by listening to it below these lines.

Admittedly, another section of fans approved of the cheerful vibes for Ryu, describing the music as celebratory and fresh. Which do you prefer?
