Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 chip details

Qualcomm Snapdragon 775

Qualcomm has previously introduced its premium chipset for 2021, which is the Snapdragon 888. However, we have not yet seen the new model from the 7 series, which belongs to the upper-middle segment. We are not expected to wait long for the new chip, as it is suggested that it will be released by the end of March.

It remains to be seen whether it will be the Snapdragon 775 or Qualcomm might opt for the name Snapdragon 788. Now the chipset details have emerged, and they are coming from an internal presentation. Some sources claim that this information is accurate but old, so changes may occur when the chipset is released.

Anyway, the chipset was created in a 5nm process, uses a Kryo 6xx core, supports 3200MHz LPDDR5 and 2400MHz LPDDR4X RAM, as well as UFS 3.1 Two-Lane HS Gear 4.

The Spectra 570 ISP has support for 4K60 video recording, and three 28MP sensors work simultaneously, as well as 64 + 20MP @ 30fps. Connection options include Wi-Fi 6E with 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, LTE Cat.18, Dual 5G, mmWave 5G, and more.

According to previously leaked results from the AnTuTu benchmark, the Snapdragon 775 should offer much better performance compared to its predecessor.
